Hello all.

I just updated my N810 to Diablo and i had some trouble installing Erminig. I solved this by disabling the nokia system update repository before running apt.get to install python-gdata. This is a clean install I didn't restore a back-up after installing Diablo.

I then installed erminig, but it won't launch. I get the following error in a console when i try and launch it.

~ $ erminig
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/erminig", line 8, in <module>
import hildon
ImportError: No module named hildon

I installed the most recent erminig package, 0.30.

Any help would be great, thanks.

well I suppose I'll be staying off Diablo for a bit. Last time I updated, I lost my timesheets. Not going through that again.

Hmm, that's interesting... I've not tried to install Erminig on Diablo for the moment (I was planning to do so after my vacations...), but this seems a quite serious bug in Erminig

I will try to look at this if I can manage to reproduce the bug in scratchbox...

In the meantime I've opened a bug on Garage concerning this problem, so that I can keep track of it and don't forget it

By the way, what error did you get when you tried to install python-gdata?

you need to install python2.5-hildon.

lorelei, are you the new developer for erminig? What think you about upload it to the extras repository? I could help you in that task, if you want.

Great, a quick fix for this problem

Can you confirm that erminig 0.3.0 works as intended on
Diablo? If it is the case I'm going to close the afore-mentioned bug, with a note about python2.5-hildon (which I'm also going to document in the installation web-page)

Yes, I'm the new developer of erminig. I think that it would be great if erminig could be uploaded to extras repository...any help about this is appreciated!

Still not working...

i have python2.5-hildon already installed automatically with the runtime when I check in red pill mode. python2.5-hildon-dev isn't, but I don't think that's the problem.

Can anyone confirm all the dependencies and packages they used to get erminig installed on diablo?

I've added python2.5-runtime, psyqlite, libsqlite0, and erminig.

python-gdata or gdataclient (please prefer python-gdata, which is already in the extras repository) are mandatory depencencies! Without them, erminig won't start...

Did you manage to install erminig? If yes, what happens if you start Erminig from the xterm? (start up an xterm, and type "erminig", without the quotes)...what is the output you get?

if that was directed towards me, then it says "/usr/bin/erminig: 39: GtkWarning: Mixing deprecated and non-deprecated GtkToolbar API is not allowed
self.wTree = gtk.glade.XML(self.gladefile, "mainWindow") "

Woops, actually it was for paps

about the GTK warning, this is something that I want to fix for the next release...maybe this is the reason why the toolbar buttons are ugly when pressed (the blue shadow is not centered correctly on pressed buttons...)
