Hello all!

In reference to the thread reporting various status bar applets crashing the desktop, I'd like to present a "remedy" for the desktop reset that occurs whenever a bluetooth keyboard "wakes up" the tablet and reconnects.

I have an iGo Slim BT Keyboard and many times when it wakes up the tablet, the desktop crashes. I cannot say that this began to occur before or after installing Personal Menu, Load Applet, statusbar-clock, etc. since I cannot remember (and definitely won't re-flash just to check ).

I have disabled the Bluetooth icon from the Status Bar and so far, NO CRASHES! I know that this is far from a decent fix but it does the trick for me. It is much more important to wake up the tablet all the time with the keyboard than actually know what the status of the BT connection is (since I leave it on most of the time).

Hope it works for you too!

Interesting. I have experienced far fewer desktop resets after I enabled the BT status bar icon.

Yeah, I've had the Bluetooth applet off for a very long time and I still get fairly frequent crashes.
