Is there any accountability software that would run on the tablet's version of linux? I found this that is for Ubuntu, but I'm not sure if it would run on a tablet or not. If it wouldn't work on OS2008, then what about the tablet's debian? (and is there a version of Ubuntu being worked on for the tablet?)

There is a version of Ubuntu coming out for mobile devices and some people have wondered whether or not it could be ported to the tablet, but the general consensus was "No it can't" Besides, Ubuntu is fundamentally different from Ubuntu mobile.

However, since the source code for that project is available, one would hope it could be compiled and tweaked for the N8x0. So, in theory, yes you could make that run on your tablet.

Hope this helps

You're welcome I've got a little coding experience but I don't have the environment set up to compile for the tablet yet. Sorry :/

You could try posting a small bounty for one of the more experience coders on the site to try and get it working maybe

If you're comfortable with hand-editing the configuration file, it should compile without modification. I'm a bit worried about the libdaemonize-ruby and dsniff dependencies, but I seem to recall seeing dsniff somewhere, and libdaemonize-ruby might compile fine.

I'll see if I can get it to build, and post a deb tomorrow if I can.

[edit]It built a lot easier than I thought it would. Deb attached. Note: Untested, and I have no idea if it will work. You will probably need to add:

chinook

to your repository list and install some ruby stuff. It might still complain about libdaemonize-ruby. I'll look into seeing if it actually works, and fixing that tomorrow. If it works, please let me know! If not, post any errors you get.
