Hi,

I have installed Maemo Mapper, I am connected to the internet and I am trying to download a route. I entered the origin and destination and I am using http://www.gnuite.com/cgi-bin/gpx.cgi for the URL source. But I always get an invalid source or destination message.

I have tried street addresses, just cities and state, etc., no luck.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

sometimes the server takes a dump. Do a search for GMAP to GPX and use that to get the directions into a format that Maemomapper can use and then transfer it to the tablet.

Do a google map direction search and then go directly to this URL:

tried that and I only get a cannot parse the file error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and still no luck.

First, try using the GPX Driving Directions web service directly. Maemo Mapper uses this web service for downloading directions.

If your query still doesn't work, try doing the exact same query on http://maps.google.com (use the "Get Directions" button). The web service works in the same way as Google Maps, and it should work with the same query text. If your query still doesn't work, then there is something wrong with your query.

I have been trying the GPX default but get invalid source or destination. I also tried http://maps.google.com and enter source and destinations that I know work on google maps (I tested on web before entering in maemo mapper. Still get invalid source or destination.

Do no adresses work, or just certain ones (like ones with accents?) If it's just certain addresses, would you mind giving an example? You can PM it to me if you prefer.

Can you PM me an example address that doesn't work? (Shouldn't be hard, since none of them work. ;-))
