After the Diablo OS update, my RSS Reader refused to update the old subscriptions. So I presumed that I had to delete them and re-add them. They deleted just fine, but any attempt to add a new subscription just locks up on the Add window.

I'm going to try a clean update with no backup from old files/settings and see if maybe that can fix it.

Anyone else have this problem?

On my first upgrade to Diablo I did the restore from the backup I made and I ended up with two identical Application Menu icons in Task Navigator area of the main screen. I couldn't get rid of it so I reflashed/upgraded to Diablo again without restoring and it was OK - only one Application menu. But I can't get most of my applications installed. I go to Maeomo.org/downloads and select the app, click on "Click to install", in the next window select "open". This loads the app manager "add catalog", I click "open" and then "OK". It attempts to download/install the app then I get "Unable to download --app name--. Application package not found. This happens for:

Mauku, xournal, personal-menu.

I could install Skype and Camera because they are originally in the App manager's list of installable apps.

The problem is that all those applications are in the Chinook repository, not in Diablo.

Just create a new catalog with the following info:

Catalog name: maemo Extras chinook
Web address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras/
Distrbution: chinook
Components: free non-free

That's all. The old applications will appear as installable applications.

Thanks for the help but I have no idea how to create a catalog. I'm still new to this.

Yeah, my RSS reader locked up the whole N810 on a refresh. This happened after I added it to the main screen as an applet . But seems to work OK as a normal application.

I love the new display of Japanese characters though. Now I can go to the Japanese bands and live house websites and read the information. Great!

Thanks again. I figured out how to do it but that didn't change a thing.

Update: I did a totally new install of Diablo after blowing away absolutely everything. I The RSS reader began working as expected, but now the Web Browser is acting up.

It keeps losing its default home page and the text entry dialog box appears to either be on a hair trigger or is possessed by evil spirits. I've shut down the N800 and will reboot and see if the problem persists.

Things were going well until I set the memory to use the internal 8 GB SDHC card for cache. Is there some sort of memory bug?
