Is anyone able to get their 770 to work in promiscuous mode on wifi?

tcpdump doesnt see any traffic other than traffic that is directed to the device despite my ifconfig wlan0 promisc command.

I've got OS2007HE on MMC and OS2008HE on Internal flash.

From what I remember about early attempts to play with kismet (2+ yrs ago) the 770's NIC is unable to enter promiscuous mode.

Don't quote me on that but I'm 99% sure.
