I was wondering if it is possible to port the game Peggle. If you havent played it, it might seem kiddish but it is really addictive. Its pretty simple as far as controls go and it would implement the touch screen perfectly.

Thanks, Avery

To port a game at all developers will need at least the source code. As a guideline, any game that costs money generally does not have source code available for the general public. If you want to see a port, you should talk to pop cap games.

Another tip:
If game is listed on this page http://packages.debian.org/testing/games/ chances of porting are very good. Additional requirements are that game must not use opengl and resolution must be low enough.

OTOH, if it's there, you can also install Debian if you want the game bad enough. Not saying that ports aren't still good and desirable, but it's an option to be aware of. (And I'd recommend anyone considering porting a game on that list try it under Debian, or get someone else to, if you can't, to verify playability before wasting time.)
