last time i asked a question you guys and girls answered it fast, so what about this time.

1.is there a way of overlaying to sound files on a internet tablet to creat a new mixed file?
2.is there a way of changing .wav's into mp3's on an internet tablet?
3.is there a way of turning a internet tablet into a music making machine, [hope fully the image of what i'm after has inserted it's self below]

1: I thought someone had created/compiled a music-maker software (MOD files, I think) and announced it on this forum a week or two ago...

2: mencoder will do that (command-line utility [usually] included with mplayer)

3: strictly speaking, the answer is "yes". there is a way of turning (nearly) any computing device into a desired tool: write a program.

a: ...I've not seen such software, but might be interested in alpha/beta testing it if someone writes it.

b: what would the [1]...[8] buttons on the left side do? switch octaves?

c: a 'cord' is what you'd use to tie a tuba to the bumper of a toyota celica (for subsequent dragging down the road). a 'chord' is two or more notes sounded simultaneously on the same instrument.

ah.. regarding #1 comment, above. I found the thread. You want to check out this thread about MilkyTracker.

I haven't tried it (yet), but the screenshot looks interesting...
