So i bought a tablet back in october of 08, and the touchscreen just stops working. So package up my tablet, send it to Nokia, mind you they dont pay for shipping, return or to. The total for the shipping comes out to be 50 dollars all in with insurance and all, just for them to tell me this is a US device and they cant help me.... So i call them up, and ask for their help, and they say well you can send it to the US department to fix it, but you cant send it from canada or else you wont get it returned back to you..... Wow. I have to send it from a US address, and obviously i dont have one, so i'm left with a broken paperweight. So i guess this is just a warning, if youre buying from canada, besure to check that its not a US model or your SOL, unless you have an american friend who can help you out.

This is stupid, I bought mine while not living in Canada, howcome I can't have it fixed where I live now?! I thought all the global corporations have global warranties, boy was I wrong.

Anyways, if you're in BC, there're a few companies south of the border within 500m from the Peace Arch or Truck Border X-ing which can receive packages for you. The one I'm using charges $2.50 for the large boxes (less for smaller ones).

If you're back east I'm sure there're similar companies there too.
