Hello,

I am wondering if some of you could share your experience about development for the internet tablet.

I would like to develop some apps for my personal use.

My company has data in MySQL databases, so I think it would be easier to migrate that data to my Nokia N810 running mysql 4. I did it without a problem.

Now I have to choose a programming language and GUI framework. I can use C++, python, GTK and QT (I have experience in all of them in a desktop environment). I have downloaded a linux image with the sdk installed for chinook. No problem in using it. I have used eclipse before.
What is the best combination? Can the C++ and python implementations work with the mysql 4 implementation for the tablet?
Do you know any tutorial about developing with databases for the tablet? (I only saw easy tutorials about doing GUI apps with GTK)

Thank you for your cooperation

Neto G.

I think it depends on the type of application. If it is just a simple database frontend I think you'd better save time by whipping up something in a scripting language like Python. Also consider Sqlite as a lightweight alternative for Mysql. I have no experience with Mysql on the tablet though.
