Ubuntu mobile will be kinda pointless on an Eee. And Asus said they will be offering 3G addon cards for it (and there are menu icons and items for 3G in it even now
But you're probably talking about the Fujitsu

eee already comes with Ubuntu... why would you want to minimize the OS if it runs in it's full capacity already?
To The fujitsu.. Putting Vista on it was a sorely mistaken and horribly stupid move. Let's put one of the bulkiest; slowest; most hardware caring OS's on a mobile device...
Genius.
It made it through the FCC, and apparently now has 1280x800; I'm totally impressed, as that matches my 12" tx2000. It's even finer resolution (1/pitch) than the N8x0!
It is missing the separate digitizer, though; just touchscreen. And they're clunking it up with Vista.

When this comes out, there's a good chance I'd buy it if I had enough money. On the other hand, what wouldn't I buy if I had enough money? I can say with great confidence that this'll be way out of reach.
World's first inductively-charged N900!
