Hello all

I installed the TransitionControl app yesterday, and I couldn't find anywhere that explained what the effect would be of changing each value, so I've started a list myself, which is below. I thought it might be useful for beginners, such as myself, for venturing into changing the settings.

There are some that are missing, as I couldn't work out what they do. My experiment was as scientific as changing everything to '0' and changing one value from maximum to minimum, and looking for an effect. "Genius"

Anyway, they are as follows;

Blur - affects the amount that open task fade and draw in and out of the screen when you enter the task manager, or exit from it into the desktop. HIgher values = slower, more gradual draw/fade. Higher is also smoother, where as lower is snappier!

Task Zoom - affects the amount that open apps zoom in and out when you click on them in the task manager, or exit from them into the task manager. Higher values = slower, more gradual zoom in/out. Higher is definitely smoother, but again, lower is snappier.

Task Rearrange - affects the speed that the task manager will rearrange the running tasks when you close one down (shuffling the other tiles around and animating the closure of the tile in question). Higher number = slower and smoother.

App Open - affects the speed that an application opens. I found that it didn't really make too much difference (probably didn't use it correctly, ie in conjunction with another value). Didn't seem any smoother at higher values but did take slightly longer.

Launcher In - affects the speed that the initial group of apps populate on the screen. I have used the transition.ini that gives the wave effect on the launcher, but I believe that higher numbers in this would usually affect the speed that the apps draw into the screen. So, higher = slower and smoother.

Launcher Out - affects the speed that the initial group of apps leave the screen via a fade. Higher numbers = slower and smoother, but too high will make the icons linger for a while while the desktop is in sight.

Launcher Sub In - affects the speed that the second group of apps (by pressing 'More') fades in. Higher = slower.

Launcher Sub Out - affects the speed that the second group of apps fades out. Lingers too long at higher values.

Rotate % - determines the percentage of a full rotation that the screen will flip during the rotatation animation from landscape to portrait, or visa versa.

Rotate In - affects the speed/smoothness (is that a word) of the transition that the screen flips away during the first part of the rotation from LS to P.

Rotate Out - affects the speed/smoothness (still don't know if it's a word) that the screen flips into view during the second half of the rotate transition animation.

Can anybody post what the following functions do please?

App Close
Subview In
Subview Out
Notification In
Notification Out
Blank Min
Blank Max

I know it seems obvious what the above should do, but I think I wasn't getting the desired effects using some of them because everything else was set to '0'.

Can anybody help fill the list?

Cheers!

PS - Apologies if this duplicates other people's posts. I did have a brief look around before I posted.

Do you mean as a function to the application?
