It's not really a competitor, but I just bought one of these things -- couldn't resist the less than $200 price tag. Free shipping, from Fry's. I don't have it yet.

Anyone have any experience with these? I'm thinking of replacing Foresight Linux with something more common, like Ubuntu.

Here's the basic info --

Shuttle's KPC K4500 is a testament to ever-improving computer production techniques and design. But the K45 manages to combine a small exterior with a roomy interior. The K4500 features an Intel Celeron 430 1.8GHz Processor, 512MB RAM DDR2 667, 80GB SATA Hard Drive (No Optical Drive), Intel GMA 950 Onboard Graphics, 5.1-Channel Audio, Gigabit Ethernet, and Foresight Linux.....

It's a nice box. It will never come to my country though...

Foresight is a cool distro, you should try it. I've been using it happily for more than one year now. Thanks to Shuttle for their interest in Linux and Foresight.

Foresight is a great introductory distro
like linux mint or something
a sort of dipping your foot in the linux pool

Ubutnu is a step up, in terms of geekyness but not alot
but you cant beat how supported it is with a 40 pound club

One of my favorite "serious" flavors is arch linux, takes some time to setup, but you get a really lean system that will do what you want, and nothing you dont

What are you using this for, if you dont mind?
