I bought a Nokia N810 about 6 months ago. When it came to me it had firmware version 1.2007.42-18. I then reflashed it to version 1.2007.42-19, which went well. But now when I try to upgrade to anything newer it gives me an error. I’ve tried it on both windows and Mac. On windows it tells me that there are no automatic updates for my device so I manually downloaded all of the released updates and all of them give me the error “unsupported software update file”. I contacted Nokia and they told me that I needed to send the device in for repair so I did. I got it back 10 days later and now the firmware is version 1.2007.42-18 again and I still can’t upgrade the firmware to the point before I sent it back to Nokia. If anyone could please help I would appreciate it greatly.

Can't help with a fix but this points out the value of a warranty.
