I've done a search on the forum and only found one message thread with both "Pidgin" and "bots" in it, but no solution was offered.

The problem is that every time I restart Pidgin, it creates a new group titled "AIM BOTS". I delete this group but it keeps coming back.

Is there any way to suppress its creation (short of using Google Talk with a Jabber server)?
