Just discovered this today:
http://trolltech.com/developer/pimp-...loper-contest/
Contest Guidelines

The Basics
We have some ugly widgets (see below) that are in desperate need of some pimping, and we'd like your help to make them shine. Download one of the four template widgets below, or start from scratch to create something truly unique. You are free, and encouraged, to use any the features of Qt in your pimping quest, and you can add/remove/change or do whatever you want to the templates to achieve your desired pimped status.

What to Submit
What's the use in pimping if you can't show off a bit? To help show off your widgets, we would like the following for each entry:

* A short description
* GPL source code
* 2-3 screenshots of your entry
* Compiled binaries
* 30-second video clip showing off your pimped widget. This should be submitted as a video response to the YouTube video above.

Judging Criteria
Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

* Best Use of Qt: Did you make use of Qt features (see sidebar: Fuel for Pimping)
* Usefulness: Does your entry solve a real problem?
* Coding Creativity: Do you show a creative solution?
* Portability: Does your entry run on one or more desktop/embedded platforms?
* The Bling Factor: Does it look "pimpalicious?"

Deadline for Entries
The deadline for submitting your pimped widgets is 31 December 2008. Better get started pimping!

At least they admit they're ugly. That is the first step. Now we just have to give them a Gnome look.
