When I have a widget installed in my desktop and I decide to remove it, I haven't found a way to reinstate it back into the desktop later on.

The widget is not listed when I try to Add/Create a Shortcut in the desktop.

If I uninstall it, then the OVI Store, knowing I have already downloaded it, would not allow me to download it again.

I must be ignoring something, and I'm new to Maemo / N900. Can someone help?

A widget wouldn't be found under Add Shortcut, it would be under Add Widget but maybe you meant this anyway. Which widget is it?

I do not see an Add Widget option in the menu at the top when editing the desktop. Only: Add Shortcut, Add Contact, Add Favorite.

Oone of the widgets was the Amazon one.

add favorite??

click on a blank area of the one of the 4 desktops, click the cog icon at the top right, then click the top text "DESKTOP MENU". should be an option "Add Widget"

there is no "add favorite"

Yes, you're all right.

It was a language problem. I have my N900 configured for spanish. The Add Widget option has been translated as "Add Panel" in spanish, which I took as being a view panel.

Sorry!

Thank you all.

And that solves the mystery of the missing widget.
