I have been reading through a few threads that say I should be able to get the OS update seamlessly, but it is just not showing up. I tried:

Apt-get install osso-software-version-rx44

And it seemed to work but the update still doesn't show up. Any other ideas to force it? I would rather not have to reflash.

Ok I decided it was high time that I reflashed anyway, so I bit the bullet and it seems to be going ok.

I have a backup from console tools, can I install that on the new OS or does it only work with the previous version?
