I ran across this tonight, actually heard it mentioned on the Linux Link Tech Show. Its called the TouchBook, and it looks like the N8x0's big brother. It has an OMAP3 processor, and a detachable keyboard.

Runs Linux, so I'm wondering, with the OMAP3, whether it would run Maemo easily. I'd like to see if Freemantle would run on this device, since it has the OMAP3 CPU. I admit, since I only have an N810, I haven't paid too much attention to Freemantle development.

The other thing I like is the price point, $299 for the tablet only and $399 with the keyboard. It looks like a great compliment to the N8x0.

Anyone heard/seen any reviews of this unit?

Try the (currently) 21-page thread, "Touch Book, ARM netbook/tablet".

Yikes. I heard about it last night on TLLTS, and didn't do a search, and the automated search when you start a thread didn't catch it either.

Sorry about that. We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.
