I keep getting this error when I try to install agps-ui on my N810 which is running Diablo.

This is driving me rather mad

Oh, and just to make sure, where/how is everyone downloading agps-ui?

I installed it though the application manager. Are you in red pill mode (I probably was)?

Amazingly enough, I can't FIND agps-ui, in Red Pill mode or without. I saw it. once, when I first installed Diablo the day it was released, and haven't seen it since. I decided not to install it then, but now would like to try it. I even tried to install an earlier beta from Nokia research labs, only to get a message saying the app was missing.

This is why you don't replace the distribution field of all the existing repositories, but just duplicate them.

Yes, I realized that just a bit late.

BTW: Red Pill mode is needed, as someone indicated.

A-GPS requires supl-daemon, which, even in Red Pill mode, won't install due to an unexplained "incompatible application package."

Has A-GPS been made obsolete by recent Maemo-mapper versions? Or do I have some other problem?

Goto http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com...ser/a/agps-ui/ to insure you have the latest version agps-ui_0.12-1beta_armel.deb. You may find the HowTo http://fragostech.com/MaemoMapper/ helpful.

Actually, Fragos, I came across AGPS from your reading your website. My plan was to work through your "tutorial" and then thank you on the forum when I was done. It looks very helpful, but I've just begun exploring it.

So the place you suggest is the place from which I'm downloading and trying to install agps-ui_0.12-1beta_armel.deb. But I get "Unable to install A-GPS. Some application packages required for the installation are missing." Details shows I need supl-daemon, so I go here for supl-daemon_0.28_armel.deb, but the App Mgr tells me "Incompatible application package." And doesn't tell me just what package that is. These problems happen in Red Pill and Blue. Also, if it matters, I have no GPS or mapping software installed other than maemo-mapper.

I don't have an absolute answer for you. I never had this problem or recall having to separately install supld. The specs coded into deb packages can be very specific about the versions of dependencies. Best guess I can offer is instal the 0.27 version instead of the 0.28. If that doesn't work try emailing gnuite at gmail, he's the author. Make sure to keep posting here so that I can document whatever solution you find.
