I have 2008 on my N800. I also have 2, 8gb SDHC in the N800. I recently tried putting I believe a 40MB update on the device. OS said there wasn't enough room. I removed several programs and there was room. I assume that all programs I install go to the 256MB space? Is that accurate?

Is it possible for me to install programs on one of the 'Internal' 8GB cards? If all programs are automatically installed in the 256MB of space....there isn't much room for apps.

How would I ensure that programs are installed in 8GB SDHC card?

if you clone the os to your sd card and boot from your SD then everything will be installed on your sd card
