Hey,

i installed MER with after this how2s:

It's installed on my extern SD-Card. But i can't boot it. It boots to Maemo every time, no matter what i am doing... Can you help me?

Remember the Utilities->Install bootmenu step. http://wiki.maemo.org/Mer/Documentat...n#N8x0_Install

Yes, i installed the bootmenue! and if i start the deivce it says "press and hold down menue key for advanced boot options. but when i press and hold the menue key, it boots to maemo...

If the menu key does not work, goto Xterminal in Maemo and get a root access (install rootsh and type "sudo gainroot") and then type

chroot /mnt/initfs cal-tool --set-root-device ask:flash

Now when you reboot is should show the bootmenu without pressing any key.

Mer 0.7 is OLD, there are newer version available. 0.11 will be released in a week.

@ meizirikki: i've done it, but here is the message "Booting from flash (mtdblock4 jffs...") while booting, and then maemo starts. if i'm looking on the sd-card with a file manager, there isn't anything... should i try to install mer another time?

I'm such an idiot... I pressed the false key :-) Finally, it works... Thank you for your help, anyway :-)
