Hi, I am considering getting the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet but there were a few things about the Wayfinder software included with it that I couldn't find the answers for. Could someone who owns one please clarify for me:

1. They list countries that maps are available for here: http://www.wayfinder.com/?id=6185&content=map_coverage
Do these all have STREET-level detail maps of major cities in those countries? Roughly how much storage would USA + Canada take up, for example?
2. Can I enter a street address/postal code and find it on the map for free (so not get directions TO the place, but just see the final destination)?
3. I'd really like a complete list of the POI categories in the database (this could just be a screenshot of the selection list when you
do a POI search).

Thanks in advance!

All maps are street level AFAIK, I have only the eastern half of the US installed. This map, the software itself, and all my POI's take up about 800 MB on my memory card. I have a license however, I believe you can still search for POI's and be taken to them or any address on the map without one (for free).

You can also add your own POI's to the free version.

I have no idea how many POI's categories come with the thing per map. The screen shows only 3 at a time and there is pro'ly 'bout 125 of the dang things... That's a lot of screen shots dude.

I do know that they haven't been updated much by Wayfinder in the past 2 years... I rely on my own.

If your questions is:
Is the installed Wayfinder app useful without the license; the answer is yes.
AFAIK, only directions and voice prompts are disabled if you don't have a license.

Welcome on board.
