Most of the discussion on this forum regarding carrying cases for the 770 has entailed searches and results for protective cases for the 770 unit alone, from which the 770 can be comfortably utilized while still in its case. My requirements have been different. I always use my 770 out of the case (in a "naked" state -- the 770 not me!), not even leaving it in its aluminum sleeve when in use. This is especially useful when I'm reading ebooks. When using my portable Freedom keyboard, I put the 770 in the stand that came with the 770. (The Freedom also has a stand, which I did not find very useful.)

My searches ended up with my purchasing an Otterbox model 3250. http://www.otterbox.com/products/otterbox/3250. It compactly holds and protects the following items for carrying around (not, of course, in my pocket): the 770, the Freedom keyboard, the stand, the charger and the USB cable. It sells for about $25 and comes in a limited selection of colors, with a transparent cover if desired. (I didn't so desire, and opted for black.) If anyone has a similar need, I highy recommend it.
