Ok I got the extras testing and the extras devel repositories enabled on my n900 and I can already see the amount of available has increased by a huge amount. How do I know which ones are safe to use at this stage and which one's are not?
Also I still cannot find Pixelpipe in there? Anyone?

Pixelpipe is in the Nokia repo. And the only way you can tell is by reading threads here. You can try reading their bug reports too.

Catalog Name: Nokia Applications
Web Address: https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/apps/
Distribution: ./
(nothing listed for components)
Catalog Name: Nokia System Software Updates
Web Address: https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/002
Distribution: ./
(nothing listed for components)
Edit: And yes if there's no web address then that's why it's not likely working.

Mine are green (meaning they're fine). Maybe try a manual refresh after getting on a different internet connection?
