Ok I got the extras testing and the extras devel repositories enabled on my n900 and I can already see the amount of available has increased by a huge amount. How do I know which ones are safe to use at this stage and which one's are not?

Also I still cannot find Pixelpipe in there? Anyone?

Pixelpipe is in the Nokia repo. And the only way you can tell is by reading threads here. You can try reading their bug reports too.

or you can disable all the repositories except the extra testing ones (enable only one repository each time). By doing that you will discover the risky app

I got the normal repos on all the time, but extra devel is active only when i'm looking something specific or know the app mostly works. In my experience extra-dev really is just what the name says. Thought have had no problems with apps from "norm" repos in the 4 weeks i have owned the device.

I get the "failed" messege for the Nokia appications catalogue.

I just checed there and the Nokia Applications and Nokia software update repositories are not set up....can some tell me what the distribution/components and web addresses are for the above as they are not filled in,which is why they are not working i presume?

Catalog Name: Nokia Applications
Web Address: https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/apps/
Distribution: ./
(nothing listed for components)

Catalog Name: Nokia System Software Updates
Web Address: https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/002
Distribution: ./
(nothing listed for components)

Edit: And yes if there's no web address then that's why it's not likely working.

sorry the web addresses were filled in, just not the distribution and components.

Beside the nokia applications catalogue is the red (!) symbol followed by "failed to refresh"???

at the bottom it says "resolving host timed out".

Don't know what to do??

Mine are green (meaning they're fine). Maybe try a manual refresh after getting on a different internet connection?
