I've tried installing crawl multiple times and always forget why I give up.

Well, I installed it again today and whenever I try to start it (by running "crawl" in a terminal) I get an error saying that the terminal is too small even when running it full screen.

I'm a dork. I need the crawl. Oh god, please help me.

(N800 with fully up to date diablo, booting from mmc, etc)

Maybe try zooming out/making the font smaller?

hmmmm...great idea! I love simple sounding solutions.

(goest to check)

fcuk.

maximized, standard zoom:
"Terminal too small (64,12); need at least (64,24)

zoom out 1 click: "Terminal too small (77,14); need at least (77,24)

zoom out another click: "Terminal too small (97,16); need at least (97,24)

maximum (minimum?) zoom: "Terminal too small (110,20); need at least (110,24)

awww, c'mon. I got this from the repos, surely somebody's got it working?

How about Menu > View > Show Toolbar > Uncheck fullscreen. Will that do it?

Thank you sir.

Unchecking fullscreen and zooming out fixed the problem.

Thanks!

Hey Nemo.

If you still are looking for the best setup to play Crawl on your tablet, you should check out the post I made on it some time ago.

Setup for Crawl

I haven't really played this all that much ever since I found an ADOM server, which is now like the greatest thing to me.

If you're interested at all on how to get ADOM working, I can give you a follow up post on a killer way to have this on your handheld.

Oh, and yeah, It's always good to see that there's another rogue fan here at these forums.

Thanks Addison, I'll check it out.

I messed with it for a little bit, but it seemed like it was optimized for an n810...my n800 was kinda pissy about controls (no keyboard).

I'll check out your post though.
(Thanks, I haven't seen you around much since I first started around here but I remember getting your help on some screen rotation stuff way back when)

**edit**
and then I read the post and see that you take care of the virtual keyboard problem, you rock!

Hey Nemo!

You sure that was me giving you advice on screen rotation stuff?

I only ask because I'm one of the more dysfunctional and incompetent posters here at this forum. *lol*

Anyway, I wanted to mention that the screen under Xterm is only 798x398 because of an invisible border.

Check out Qwerty's post on how to get the full use of your tablet's screen.

See ya.
