II like the idea of a mapper program on the nokia 770; howver, I have found the
mappet program to quite finicky and need help to resolve some of the problems I have been experiencing.

1. Downloading a route doesn't work. I put in the origin and destination addresses, but I get an error that the gpx server is unavailable.

2. Blank blue screen. Maps do not show up, but rather a blank blue screen. Auto download is enabled. Initially I was able to download and view the map, but something happened and all there is now is a blue screen. I do have a blue-tooth reciever that the mapper successfully connected.

Any help Any help with these issues, espeacially with the blue screen will be greatly
appreciated.

Hi Dr. Hood,

You must put a map URI direction. This URI deppend on your country. For Spain I've got http://mt0.google.com/mt?n404&v=w2.21&x=%d&y=%d&zoom=%d

You can search "maemo mapper uri" in google.

where do you save the maps?

If you have been able to view some maps and now no more maps are downloaded maybe your card is full.
mapper says that it is downloading the maps but in reality it isnt because your card is full.

Maybe thats the problem?

becuse of the routes.
maybe it cant find the adress you are typing.

try from:
london, england
to:
norwich, england

if this woks its because of your adresse.
tell us, if this did not work.
then the problm is something else.

Thank you for responding. The uri I am using is...

http://mt.google.com/mt?n=404&v=w2.25&x=%d&y=%d&zoom=%d

I live in the US and I hope that this uri is correct.

I am googling 'maemo mapper uri' but I have not confirmed that the above uri is correct or nor.
