Here I'm starting to post wallpapers that I have edited to fit the screen of the N900 Panoramic Desktop of 3200x480px.

Here is my first one (Note, that the wallpapers are not drawn by me, but customized to fit this resolution).

I will try to create some themes, too. But only when I have my N900, so that i can test them instantly.

Thanks although you should at least credit original author, and ask them if its OK to redistribute.

I don't know the author. So how can I publish them if I dont have the possibility to get the permission?

If it's not open source images or if they are copy written you can't. Everyone needs to male sure when posting backgrounds that they are allowed to redistribute them. If not maemo.org could get in trouble

Perhaps, you can try http://tineye.com/ to find the source/author.

I can understand that, but its too complicated to ask for permission for every picture. So i will make these wallpapers just for my personal use...

Also, the N900 doesn't accept one long wallpaper. You'd be wise to split them up, one per desktop.
