yeah but for £20 more you can get 100mins & 100txts (free inbound to our American brothers) for 18 months.

I am very tempted by the tmobile Combi 15 + Web'n'Walk deal, £470ish and "unlimited" internet 1gig really but you can often get upto 2gigs

I was going to order the T-Mobile 18 months @ £30 with free N900 for 300 mins, 300 texts and data, but the price went up to £29.99 for the handset on this deal so I thought again.

Eventually went for the extra £5 a month for 700 mins and unlimited texts, free N900 and half price first month's line rental. Seemed the best deal to me. It's the Combi 30 + Web'n'Walk one.

I'm looking for the cheapest N900 around in UK, and so far I tought the cheapest was this one: http://www.kingofgadgets.co.uk/nokia...one-p-701.html
(taken from here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=32111)
448 £.

What is this "pay as you go" option? I'm not interested in monthly/special plans, since I would use it in Belgium/Italy anyway.
Is that 393 £ total? No additional things you're forced to pay?!? o_O
(I imagine at least some branding?)

I think it's 3.99 delivery. Probably not branded or locked, on the Mobile Phones Direct site choose the N900 and select Pay as you go, Vodafone.

* Pay As You Go

Pay As You Talk Mobile Phones

Pay As You Talk Mobile Phones let you connect a new handset without a credit check and without signing a contract. There are no unexpected monthly bills; you simply 'top up' your mobile phone with credit...
ok, now I know what "pay as you go" means... incredible, it costs 170 € lesser than buying it from an Italian shop at 599€... o.o
(in Belgium probably more, like 650-699 €...)

Combi 15 + Web'n'Walk looks to be best for me.

I guess it depends on how much someone is going to use the phone side. I just want unlimited net... phone is for emergency's, and occasional chats.

Will that be unlocked
I sent an e-mail to mobilephonesdirect.co.uk the other day asking them if they will be supplying un-branded,un-locked devices -their reply was:

The handsets will be unlocked and unbranded, just as Nokia intended them.
And apparently I'll be able to order an upgrade from them for my existing Vodafone UK tariff, getting me a new N900 for £73 and letting me keep my existing number. Result!

Oh, first post as well, so hello everybody! Been lurking for a couple of weeks, you all seem a friendly and knowledgeable bunch. Can't wait until I can contribute a picture to the 'where is your Nxxx device today' thread. :-)
