Dear all,

I've got my n900 on monday and since i've responded to many emails directly with this cool device.

But i'm not happy with commercial type of response and prefer to respect the netiquette like this:

Top-posting is used a lot among those I correspond with at work, and most of them apparently use Lotus Notes which doesn't seem to handle mail threads either, so they keep accumulating top-posted top-posted top-posted mails. The net result, anyway, is that after a while it's totally impossible to have the faintest idea about what, exactly, the person is commenting about.

Top-posting is evil, and not even allowed on some of the more important mailing lists I'm on. So I'm all in favour of getting this fixed, either as default or as, at the least, a configurable option. Vote done.

arcangeli, on my device I am using it with IMAP GMail, and the behaviour is as you describe.
I think the "trick" might be to select "Plain Text" under Email-Settings-New Message Format.

The signature bug I have not run into as I don't tend to use signatures

I've ticked Plain text from the first day. This is for not sending html formatted email.
This is another topic.
