there is so much noise in these forums comparing and complaining! lets just agree this is good technology but also work in progress!
I'm old enough to remember the early days of bsd and system V (5 if you've not got an AT&T background)
ms and windows flurished in the confusion that was so many unix variants and lack direction for developers to know what was worth getting behind!
It would 'appear' that many mobile manufacturers that would typically have a symbian device like SE have abandoned symbian but not picked up maemo but instead have gone WINMO or android! indeed HTC/LG/Samsung also seem to be focusing on droid and or WINMO.
the apple 2 was succesfull but there were no real competition at the time.
I fear that six months in tech world today is a long time! every system needs a killer app/feature!
I'm personally a huge fan of nokia and dont care much for sxc designer phones but one thing i know is every great technology needs a killer app!
VHS had porn
Apple Mac had DTP
even MS has Office
what does the research say is the killer app in this market?? any suggestions
