I have been playing around with pymaemo and Maemo SDK vmware image and everything is working as expected.

Today I installed SDK to my laptop with Ubuntu by using the Maemo 5 SDK GUI installer. Everything seemed to be ok until I tried to run my script from scratchbox.
I can't get any output from the script to xephyr. I can see the framework after af-sb-init.sh start, and I did the export display=:2, but run-standalone.sh script.py doesnt do anything.

Any ideas?

Ok, so you see something in the Xephyr window after starting the framework?

what does your script do? how did you implement it? did you follow an example? I think some more details are necessary in order to help you!

Yes, framework starts and I can see Maemo desktop.

I can't get any output from scripts to the Xephyr window. For example I used example 1.2 from:
http://wiki.maemo.org/PyMaemo/UITuto...etting_started

And doing the same in VM-image produces right kind of output.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

what is the output then in the terminal, when you run the program? Have you installed all the dependencies in the SDK, like python2.5, python2.5-gtk2, and python-hildon. I have the same setup and it works, when the dependencies are installed. It would help if you could post the error message, then we can see what to do next.

Cheers Daniel
