Factory managers at Nokia's Salo factory are on strike. Lower level workers are taking care of their jobs. Great way to show that your job input isn't really needed.

When I flew into Helsinki two days ago all the baggage handlers were on strike. We stayed on our plane for an hour before the two guys who were operating the stairs made their way to our plane. We waited another 1 1/2 hours to get our luggage. It is frustrating but I will always stand with workers! Power to the people!

Google's sort-of translation from Finnish into English

Nokia's mobile phone factory work, even if the strike is

Union officials accuse the other union members rikkuroinnista.

A staff member of the Union the right to strike is not just reflected in the mobile phone manufacturer Nokia's Salo factory. Went on strike on Tuesday, Nokia's Salon 450 production staff.

STTK: a staff member of the Union was to get up from a cellular phone factory at Nokia and hit a nerve when the factory goes on strike supervisors. Factory team leader, has done a lot of members of the Union of Salaried Employees.

Salon factory is the first strike of days worked times the normal rate.

Reijo Leppänen staff on the shop steward to blame "Brödraförbundets". Senior officials and members of the Metalworkers' Union have begun to carry out the work of a management task.

- Our own rivimme have kept, but the other rikkuroivat.

Leppänen complain that the industrial action take place in the spirit of the trade union.

- Akava, SAK and FTFC's statements, it is agreed that become lost in another trade union industrial action. Here is seen as the flip side of things.

Leppänen contributed to the dilution of industrial action also considers the employer. Union officials gave warning of the strike two weeks ago. The employer had the time to find replacement workers to replace staff.

- I've heard that the employer has even threatened the metal and the senior staff members. The employer has asked them to perform managerial tasks. If you do not agree to do another job, the employer keeps the refusal of work.

Leppänen will complain to the employer's actions.

Salon cellular phone factory employs a few thousand people. Most of the workers are members of the SAK kind of Metalworkers' union.

Nokia Salo employs a total of about 4 500 people. Salo is the only place in Finland, where Nokia has a production.

The issue behind this strike seems to be what job titles are under witch union's contract. So this is just about one union trying to get more power. Sad and redundant strike.

According to the labels on N900 back, devices are being produced in South Korea. Unless factories' workers are striking there...
