I was really hoping to play some street fighter. I downloaded the ROMs and the extensions were .nes but when I open the iNES and click on the file it shows me nothing. What could be the problem?

Anyone have a clue?

You waited a whole 13 minutes before you pleaded for an answer again.

Try the usual things - remove spaces/capital letters/punctuation from filenames, make sure extensions are in lower case, make sure files are not zipped or rar'd. You also don't know if the romset is corrupted or even not a working set with your emu. Have you tried other roms as well?

I found that capital letters in the file name and the extension made them unreadable.
