I tried a data connection to my 3G provider (Proximus) for the first time and it connected quite quickly i.e. got an IP. However, I couldn't get online. I noticed that 'route' didn't have any gateway information. I am guessing that all that is required are the right 'route' commands. Is that correct? How do I find the gateway's IP?

Any help would be appreciated. I would rather not deal with a call to tech support.

Thanks.

That's normal (though very counter-intuitive), I'm guessing that's just how phonet works...

Traffic flows through just fine here with the same (0.0.0.0) default route, so your connectivity problem is likely something else.

Thanks. I checked to see if DNS was an issue so I put the DNS IPs in resolv.conf and that got the lookups going but I am still unable to connect. I get a 'Connection refused' error. The internet settings were installed via sms so I am not sure where the problem is.
