They're also supposed to do an Android version (according to UMPCportal)

This device is also sold as W1060 http://wirelession.com/ There is a lot of discussion about it here http://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=164 including comments from manufacturer (kathy6699)
http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63719

from the review it looks like it is nice device but some stuff (mostly SW) is not working yet and it also looks like typical Chinese 'moving target' - hw changes planned

Or how about this one:

4.3" screen at 160g

Or does the Samsung ARM11 CPU mean it is Mer-incompatible?

If I was going to get one of their 4.3" devices, it'd be the W1010 (the one with the 5 row keyboard). But, they're all rather anaemic on RAM and CPU (the storage on the W1010 at least has options for up to 16GB, that's good). I'd rather see:

The W1010 with the 1GHz TI OMAP 3xxx CPU, and option for 1GB RAM.

And, I wish they had a 9" or 10" slate, with some more options. Like the W1060 or W1000, but with the TI OMAP CPU, 1GB RAM, 4+GB storage (in addition to a full size SDHC slot), DVI-I out, 2+ USB host ports, and a PixelQi hybrid display (1024x600 or 1280x800ish).

arm11 makes it same gen as the N800/N810. So not much of a "upgrade" if you have one of those already...

Except that it does appear to be running that ARM11 faster than the N800 did.

I never really had a major problem with speed on my N800 or N810. Obviously, faster is good, but I never expected to do a lot of CPU intensive things on it.

For an Android device, the 525ishMHz (ARM11, IIRC) CPU is "fast enough" for 90% of what I do with a pocketable device. So, a 650ish MHz ARM11 is an improvement. Whether it's here, or on the Inventec N18.
