HTTP File Server is a tiny portable app that runs on windows and linux, and allows you to access your files from your home computer via any internet browser. It's very easy to set up. I had it up and running on my home PC in less than 5 minutes.
They have a pretty active Forum, and it seems the program is still being actively developed.
One of the cool parts about this server, is that it allows image viewing, and streaming of music and videos.. It also supports custom web templates, and there's some pretty cool iphone templates right now. I bet it'd look much cooler with an Maemo template though!
I know about Orb/ftp/Knots2/, but this looks like it could be pretty cool app for N900 owners. Unfortunately I don't have the skills to design a Maemo template, but with all the talented people we have in this community, I reckon it could be made pretty quickly..
