You can still activate an account, since Ovi store is only not active for the N900, I believe. Wrong?

I activated an account for my $50

Eh, Can't be bothered with all that, especially since it's a US offer, not sure if it would work in UK.

I have the N900 and the 5800. According to the rebate form, you must activate the account on the device. The rebate requests the IMEI number too. The 5800 was bought 6 - 7 months ago.

It is not clear as to the impact of not having the OVI store working on the N900.

You cant do it for the 5800. Purchased between November 16, 2009 and December 31, 2009....You can activate OVI online. Go the site and create an account.
