So no go without hildonization?
What's the background behind Maemo, GPE? blackbox?
Surely the WM that runs the GTK frontend for Maemo can display fullscreen, so I'd think there should be some command or what have you to switch the view of the app to fullscreen and back, no?

It's not hildonized, just regular Emacs, now when started, I have the N900 bar on top of the screen.
How do I switch to fullscreen when in Emacs now?
