My N900 Turns Off by itself when i do two things:

1- use the 2.5G

or
2- Use my network GPRS connection to log into the internet. (it doesnt do that when i use the WIFI)

it turns off with no reboot...and when i press the power button it doesnt power on...and i must take off the batteries and reinstate them to power it on again.

sounds like a hardware fault if it is not responding to the power on. are you sure it's 100% off or is the screen off? try a reflash and if it is still the same send it back.

no - if you dont want to fix it then dont bother.

you can just send it back on warranty, and wait about with no n900

off course you may have to do that anyway but it could save you the hassle.

I get the same thing if I charge it while it's switched off. No problems otherwise though.

Yea sometimes it's just easier to concead defeat.

Sounds like a fault with the gsm raido since it works fine with wi-fi. First I have read of your problem.

How long have you had the device? I would be trying a reflash before anything else.

Well it worked...........the REFLASH worked here....no more turns off when using the Network Connection.

But i wonder now...why i did so from the begining??..maybe cause i installed many Maemo Devel and testing applications???

It could be, it could also just be your had a bad device (maybe a bad flash or something from the factory).

I generally test my devices for a day or so to see how it is stock, then I start changing things. Same thing with eating, I eat it plain, then with condiments (if I choose to add some).
