Is it possible to play World of Warcraft via an n800? I imagine using a tool like VNC it may be possible? Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks!

I imagine the gameplay; the FPS; and overall experience would flat out suck.

But ultimately you could look at a WOW screen on your desktop using Rdesktop or VNC on your tablet... but the framerate would be near unplayable.. not to mention controls would be HORRIBLE...

Controls wouldn't be too bad with a bluetooth keyboard. Would the framerate really be that bad? I mean the PC at home would be doing the rendering. I've seen it on an iphone and the framerate and such wasn't too bad. I guess I'll just have to try =)

the best framerate I was able to obtain from my home computer (across the city of montreal... about 20 km away) was about 5-7 fps. but for this, I reduced the screen resolution to 480x800 (widescreen monitor), and set the colors to 8-bit.
still interested?

And it is cheaper, lighter and less consuming than an x86 laptop!

Hmmm, if you ever get WoW running through VNC, I think that you may then rename it "World of Warcraft Slideshow Edition".

Even for static contents VNC isn't exactly the best FPS-wise, I don't even want to imagine what it would look like with 3D contents

When i installed vnc, running WoW is the first thing i tried. it's worse than a slideshow. Frames lag behind as much as 20 seconds. however, master of orion 2 works great.

Sorry I know nothing about Maemo yet... would this work?

It would require you to run WoW through WINE. Will WINE work in Maemo?

No. Wine translates Windows x86 function calls into Linux x86 function calls. Maemo runs on ARM, not x86.
