I'm having trouble getting my nokia app and nokia software repositories working. Only extras work.

I would like very much to get pixelpipe installed on my N900, but since my repos don't work and pixelpipe is located in the nokia app(so i'm told), is there any way I can get pixelpipe????

There seems like some updates happening at the moment - check out some recent posts - could be the server move maybe - and is affecting quite a few peoples updates and repositories.

Try again tomorrow, and post back if it doesn't work

Also, post your repository settings, just to check it.

Here's my repository settings for Nokia Applications:

Catalogue name: Nokia Applications
Web Address: https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/apps/
Distribution: ./
Components:

and the nokia software repo:

Catalogue name: Nokia System Software Updates
Web Address: https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/002
Distribution: ./
Components:

Also, worth noting is the fact I have my N900 a week now, and I NEVER got those two repos working!

That sounds really odd, neither have been working for a whole week? - what does the log say?

Not sure why you needed another thead, Chicoelnino. Were you hoping to reach different people by using a different forum? Mostly it's the same group of us. People seem to be pretty baffled about the problem, and are doing their best to help you here. It would be a shame to find a solution and not have it posted where others will find it.

I gather you still haven't found an answer?

Did you know Meego.com has forums too?

http://blog.pixelpipe.com/2009/12/28...via-pixelpipe/

1. Open the Contacts application on your N900 and create a new contact called Pixelpipe, you’ll then need to select “add field” and scroll down and select the type of IM service you’re utilizing such as Google Talk or Ovi.

2. In the new service field enter pixelpipe@im.pixelpipe.com as the address and save.

3. Now open the new Pixelpipe contact and select the IM service option from the Contacts or Conversations applications.

4. You now you need to send Pixelpipe a message with your application key so we can bind your IM address to your Pixelpipe account. You can find your Application key and specific instructions at http://pixelpipe.com/tools under the Instant Messaging heading. Note: You’ll need to sign-in to see your application key & the format to send is “verify-application_key“

6. You can now add your favorite mico-blogs and status services from http://pixelpipe.com from the desktop or http://m.pixelpipe.com from your handset and start posting from Nokia Contacts & Conversations on your N900.

7. Enjoy!
My note: To send a status update to Facebook you would use..

@Facebook I am at this bar!

For Twitter it would be @twitter I am at this bar!

For both it would be:

@Facebook @twitter I am at this bar!
