i was walking my puppy and pulled my phone out to respond to a text. he suddenly jerks on the leash causing my phone to fly out of my hand and fall onto concrete. phone is pretty banged up but functions fine. im just wondering if its possible to replace the whole outer shell of the phone? also, for the screen there is that shiny border piece around it right? well mine is a little bit seperated from the actual screen itself at the top and im wondering if that was from the drop. can yall just slide your screen up and look at the top back of the screen where the border meets the screen and tell me if its snug and if there is any play when you press down on top?

If this isn't covered under warranty, and if everything is working fine after the fall, why not just buy a hard case off EBay? I have a rubberised hard case (which means it's painted in a paint that has a rubbery feel to it), which won't slip as easily from your hand. It'll also cover up any existing damage and protect the phone.

I can't answer your question about the border piece, because I shimmed my case (with insulation tape) to fit tightly, and so it is hard to get it off.

Spares should be avaliable from Nokia, I have repaired several phones for several friends. They can be quite tricky and a bbit of a fiddle but can be donw with the right tools etc. If its a vodafone handset take it into them and ask for it to be repaired. usually there repair costs are half the price of nokia repairs. when i got my omnia the day i bought it my girlfriends kitten chewed it to bits and the surround the buttons and the screen and it was repaired by vodafone for £40 i was very impressed. (had no insurance) but doing it yourself usually voids the warrenty

there is a shop (in Finland?) that sells spare parts including the case etc. Do some searching - when it was on here it was the thread about stylus...
