i have a question regarding the (phone-) contact-list on the n900

at first, i'll tell you what specific problem i have on my current phone, the samsung jet.

i have my sim-card with quite a lot of contact on it.
on my jet, i wasnt able to assign caller-pictures to the contacts as long as they were on the sim-card.
i had to copy them to the phone-memory. after doing that, i was able to create extra information for every contact and assign pictures to them.

before i copied them to the phone, it looked like that:

- contact 1 (sim)
- contact 2 (sim)
- contact 3 (sim)
... and so on.

but after i copy them to the phone, it looks like that:

- contact 1 (sim)
- contact 1 (phone)
- contact 2 (sim)
- contact 2 (phone)
- contact 3 (sim)
- contact 3 (phone)

and so on.
i didnt find a way to not show the sim-contacts, except deleting them.
how does it work on the n900?

N900 shows phone contacts and SIM contacts seperately, not together (apparently feature not yet implemented to prevent further delays)

Ideally you want to use phone contacts only on the N900 to take advantage of the integrated features ie contact pics + skype etc. and uses apps like Hermes to update details of the contacts like their birthdays and profile pics etc

i just received my n900.

i imported all the contacs from my sim-card to the device and found that one of the contact has his name written uncorrectly (hermes isnt finding his details on facebook either because of this)
also, i want to change some contacts details.

how do i do this? it seems the n900 doesnt feature any ways to edit the given information for contacts. please help!! :>

Click on the contact, and on the top, there should be a place to edit the contact details.
