hey guys i just found a bug with the latest firmware with the media and it's volume control.

Here how i start it.
play the music on my device and try to turn up the volume using the volume key and it works fine but then later on i try to do an on screen volume adjustment but the volume displaying on the screen isn't full.

if you changed he volume using the key buttons, the volume bar will not updated inside the media player volume bar. But the noise is updated. but if you change the volume with the on screen volume scrollbar then the whole system volume updated.

the bug is that the media volume display is not updated with the key press.

yes you can. Just open up the media player and play a song or something. Then put the volume to lowest as possible using the volume keys then...

check if your media player volume button. The speaker like on a computer sound.

Now if you see it at low like when you did it with the key press, then press the volume key to increase the volume to max. Check your on screen volume button again. You'll see it is not updated.

Edit:
Damn now it updated like it should lol. WTF is wrong with my device earlier. Should have taken screenshot to prove it. Oh well. I think in this case it just the OS is still not yet stable. My guess that's all. SOrry bud. Mod Please disregard my post.

I notice this a couple of days ago, and at that time I didn't realize N900 behaved differently after the re-flash. But for me I view it as a feature but not a bug since what happened mirrors what I see on PC.... the media player volume is separated from the OS volume. That way I can adjust the volume more finely. There might be noise/distortion creeping in if your setting is off, but it's no big deal to me so I vote for this feature to stay!

Hi,
I haven't noticed that problem, but other I have. I have been using sometimes Bluetooth headset for listening the music (and sometimes just stereo headset). Quite a few times volume change from screen does nothing for the real volume. Volume keys will work properly, but I can't change volume from touchscreen volume button from media player.
