Has anyone tried http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/transmission/?

Install is failing. Any idea, anyone got it to work?

I installed it and it works with my Sita torrent. It does use lots of cpu though.

What does "install is failing" exactly means? Any exact error message?

Where else can you find it?

Have you tried downloading the Maemo 5 version?

i'm using a program called transmission. works good but is still in beta. uses alot of phone resources though.

I'm using an N800 with OS2008, but I'm having problems with the install also. The install appears to complete, but if I try to run the program, then I get the following error:

Couldn't open "/home/user/.config/transmission/lock": No such file or directory"

And in fact, if I go to the /home/user/.config directory, no transmission folder exists. So the question is, why does the installer fail to create the directory? Is there an install log somewhere I can check?

friends pls do help me.. i am not able to install transmission on my n900.. its not available in app manager, my phone didnt had extras catalog i manually add it now its showing Extra catalog failed to refresh.. wat is the problm when i am downloading Transmission from other sites to my documents when i tried to open it showing select any app to open.. how i can download and install if possible pls give link.. or tel me step wise.. pls am worried i am new to all this.. trying to install from ten days but not yet find..
