just found an artice on controlling the lamp using a pc. They sniffed out the protocol and made an usb controlled device. interesting read: http://www.ideetron.nl/Livcol/UK2008110661.pdf

I found the following specs: The remote uses a radio frequency transmitter and reciever om the 2.4 GHz ISM band from Chipcon (now Texas Instruments).
