Just browsing my t-mobile bill I noticed I had 5 text messages sent to 491771787772 at various times this month. I googled the number and it is to Nokia but I am getting charged for it. Anyone else experiencing this?

Short version of Nokia's answer: If you don't want your phone to send texts by itself, don't use a Nokia phone.

Thanks for the reading material and the response. Normally I wouldn't mind but I am getting charged .20 and if it was a one time thing I also wouldn't mind but it is continuing to do it.. even once this morning.

Yea thats price to pay to have piece of technology in your pocket. And i dont mean 20 cents per txt or whatever. I mean your privacy !

Do you by any chance subscribed to nokia.com. If you did then at least set it so they will not sending you any text massages or anything like that. Me personally unsubscribed from website and didnt receive or sent any message from nokia so far.

I did read both of Matan's links. But like I said I'm not receiving any text messages only sending.. 5 this month to be exact.

Yea but those messages was without you knowing about it. And later finding out as you described it. Anyway the reason that your phone sending text massages is you subscribed to MyNokia.
