Hi all
First off, sorry if this has been talked already ( I did try the search but keywords for this question are very vague), but does maemo5 default internet browser allow viewing the page source code? In E90 it was kinda impossible, I would be very happy if html-source was viewable in N900. If not out of the box, could a plugin be made for this?

Unfortunately, no. Please see bug 1885, "View source in browser", which is still WONTFIX.

Thank you. And I didn't even think about searching thru bugs.

I notice that bug was last updated in 2007, and refers to Maemo 3.2. It might be worth adding a comment to the bug to see if their attitude might have changed since.

You can view source in Tear, it's not the default browser, but it is a pretty good one - a port is probably already underway

It seems so, although there are still problems building it:

I used Tear and like it a lot. Hope it doesn't lose functionality in the M5 port.

Well, you can always view source by writing "view-source:" before the url.
Example: "view-source:http://www.maemo.org"
