Google Office does not support the Opera browser so that's out, but Zoho loaded and looks considerably better than GDocs anyway... the only problem is there does not seem to be any way to enter text! I've tried tapped with finger and stylus -- nothing. Connected my Stowaway keyboard -- nothing.

Has anyone gotten this or any other online docs app to work? It'd be nice to have access to docs and spreadsheets.

I know abiword is coming so I'll hope for the best there!

I'm on an N800.

I tried http://www.thinkfree.com/ but the screen didn't render right and many of the buttons were covered up and un-pressable.

It's documented that ZoHo Office will open and load your files in Opera, but editing documents is not possible. If ever Minimo becomes usable, the problems with online office apps (mind you, the editor part of those "office" apps is usually pretty pathetic) will be over.

Well, bar WiFi dead spots, dropped connections, servers losing your data and Evil Aliens Taking Over the Internet, of course.

But other than that, it should be easy sailing...

You're not only preaching to the choir, but to the orchestra, the backing vocals, the roadies and the groupies as well.

Hey Guys:

Just in case you didn't catch it, there is a *new and improved* version of abiword available for OS 2006 -- seems to be somewhat more stable, don't see new features, though.

RepRepository: http://www.abisource.com/downloads/apt/
Distribution: mistral
Components: user

Just an FYI in case you didn't catch it last weekend. Keith

I am hopeful the 2007 version will soon follow... I got the doc reader app going last night and it works very well for quick viewing of .doc files as text or PDF.
